Smartsign Display Manager has support for most common file formats. This is a summary of the supported formats for the platform itself. Individual devices may have further limitations.
Images
- PNG
- JPG/JPEG
- GIF - static and animated
- TIF
- BMP
Most images are automatically converted to PNG to maximize compatibility across platforms.
Video
- MP4
- MOV
- H264
- H265
- HEVC
- MKV
- WMV
- AVI
- MPG, MPEG, MPEG2
Less common videoformats are automatically converted to MP4/H264 to maximize compatibility across platforms.
There are large variations in video support between different devices in terms of framerate and bitrate.
Documents
- PPTX/PPT, PPSX/PPS
- DOCX/DOC
- XLSX/XLS
Pages/slides are automatically converted to images to maximize compatibility across platforms.
On-premise requires Office for full format support, see system requirements.
Powerpoint with animations is supported by automatic conversion to video.
